The story of Meiko Foods VN

Mr. Myojin (CEO of Meiko Shokuhin, Japan) has been in the seafood industry for many years in Japan. He holds numerous international and Japanese patents in the seafood sector, including the MSC certification for the world’s first sustainable Katsuo fishing and processing, and a patent for making Kabayaki from Tra (Pangasius) fish, etc..

 

One day, he was invited by VASEP to Vietnam to transfer seafood processing technology. This was the first time he learned about Vietnam’s Tra fish (Pangasius), its processing, and export status. From then on, he began extensive research on Tra fish and the creation of value-added products from it.

 

Since then, he has built a team of collaborators to research and promote these new technologies and new products.

 

In Vietnam, he and Mr. Trieu (Vietnamese) established Meiko Foods VN, in collaboration with Meiko Shokuhin, to conduct business in the seafood industry.
